Public Meeting: Welfare Reform and Housing Co-ops

From the Bedroom Tax through to changes to Housing Benefit payments and Council Tax benefit cuts, the Government are engaged in a raft of changes to welfare that will have a serious impact on housing.

The London Federation of Housing Co-operatives are holding a public meeting on Saturday March 2nd on the implications of the changes for Housing Co-operatives, Tenant Management Organisations and their residents.

Speaking at the meeting will be:

LORNA REID – Islington Law Centre

SUE PHILPOTT – Co-op Homes

MICK O’SULLIVAN – Confederation of Co-operative Housing

Attendance is free, with no need to register in advance.

The meeting is from 10.30am – 1pm at the Cally Resource Centre

The Cally Resource Centre is at 1a Earlsferry Road, off Caledonian Road. The nearest station is Caledonian Road and Barnesbury (London Overground North London Line); the venue is also around halfway between Caledonian Road (Victoria Line) and Kings Cross / St Pancras stations. Buses 17, 91, 259, 274 run close by too.
