Doubling the size of the UK’s co-operative sector

The New Economics Foundation (NEF) have published a new report commissioned by the Co‑operative Party, Co-operatives unleashed, on how to double the size of the UK’s co-operative sector.

NEF was asked to take undertake an independent examination of the policy framework required to meet the challenge of doubling the size in terms of turnover of the UK co‑operative sector. They combined a quantitative analysis with a review of relevant literature. They also conducted detailed interviews with people across the sector and sought their views through an online survey, which more than 70 people completed.
